Recommended Roses

Here you'll find a brief list of some of the many roses we recommend that grow well on the Gold Coast. Please note this is not exhaustive as many people find that different roses have different levels of success. 
hybrid tea
Hybrid Teas
Hybrid Teas are the largest and most popular rose class due to their elegant form and large variety of colours. They are know for then long, elegant pointed buds that open slowly. Many have a good fragrance and are excellent cut flowers. 
phoenix
Floribunda
Floribunda roses produce flower sin large clusters which provide long lasting, beautiful garden displays. They are hardy, vigorous and easy to care for and repeat flowering. 
caramella
Modern Shrub
These roses are not classified by traditional terms as most of them have been bred from using both Hybrid Teas and Floribunda rose. Easy to grow and can create beautiful borders and hedges.

Minature / Miniflora
Miniature Roses are the smallest of all the roses with blooms no bigger than 5cm in diameter. They are ideal for pots or borders. Miniature roses have all the attributes that full size roses have including disease resistance range of colour and fragrance.

Old Garden / Heritage Roses
The Old Garden Rose or heirloom rose is defined as any rose that existed before 1867.
